Blest Signs sells signage products. Customers order signs that are customized to their needs — size, materials, and design choices vary from order to order. The business needs to take these custom orders online, collect payment, and help customers understand what they are ordering.

The Challenge

Orders were placed by phone, email, and in person, and each order had to be priced and confirmed manually. Customers could not configure a product online and see a price as they built it. There was no secure payment step on the website, and no customer accounts where customers could see their past orders. Configuring a product was unfamiliar to some customers, so the business needed guidance built into the ordering flow.
