Manufacturing Resource & Operations Platform (MRR)

A manufacturing operations system managing the complete order lifecycle, inventory, production, invoicing, and customer accounts.

Business Overview

The client is a manufacturing business that takes customer orders, plans production, and delivers finished goods. The operation spans order intake, inventory of raw materials, production work, invoicing, and payments. Customers buy both on order and at the point of sale.

The Challenge

The order lifecycle ran through separate tools. Sales orders lived in one place, production in another, and invoicing was handled after the fact. Stock levels were not linked to what production actually consumed. When a customer asked where their order stood, staff had to check multiple places. Invoicing and payment status were tracked outside the ordering workflow, so the business could not easily see which orders were paid and which were not.

The Solution

Xupyter built a manufacturing operations platform where the order lifecycle is tracked end to end. Customer orders flow into production workflows, and inventory is updated as materials are used and finished goods are produced. Invoicing is generated from completed orders and payments are recorded against them. A point-of-sale module handles direct sales. Automated notifications keep the team informed, and reporting gives management a view of orders, production, and payments in one place.

Key Modules

  • Order management
  • Complete order lifecycle
  • Inventory
  • Production workflows
  • Invoicing
  • Point of sale (POS)
  • Customer management
  • Automated notifications
  • Payments
  • Business reporting

How It Works

An order is taken from a customer and entered once. It flows into production, and the system tracks the work as it is completed. Inventory is updated as materials are used and finished goods are produced. When an order is done, an invoice is generated and the payment is recorded against it. Point-of-sale sales are recorded the same way. Managers see the state of orders, production, and payments in one place.
